The Alteration Process
Alterations are the key to a well-tailored dress. While they may seem daunting after the excitement of saying “I do”, the process is simple and efficient, and ensures that your gown looks and feels the best on the big day.

The First Step
When starting the alterations process, take photos of the front, back, side, and train of the dress. Please also note your current measurements, height, and weight.

The most important measurements needed when altering a gown are as follows:
A: Bust circumfrence
B: Undercuts
C: Armsyce
D: Length of skirt
E: Bicep
F: Waist
From Head to Toe
Alterations always begin at the top. This means the bodice, straps, sleeves, and waistline will be altered before the skirt or hem are touched.
Additional Appointments + Pick-Up
Traditonally, a 2nd appointment is required, to ensure that the hem is at the correct height and no other fit adjustments are needed. After any additonal appointments, there will be the final pick-up. Only pay when when your happy with your gown.
